Modern Boylover Magazine is a semiannual publication written by boylovers. This website is a gateway to archived issues of the magazine, which first appeared in July 2006. The website is also where contributions for future issues can be made. We hope you enjoy your reading experience. Please have a look around the website…registration is not required.
You are free to view, download and comment on each issue of the magazine. You can contribute your own work in the Write for Us! section and also participate in various contests and polls.

It is great to see that the magazine still lives on.
Despite all difficulties BLNET, friendships, experiences and even the magazine are still around.

I am watching a documentary about cyber sex and child predators and they told me sites like this exist and I had to check it out for myslef. How can this be legal? I hope you get shut down!
This website is legal because it has nothing to do with cyber sex, there is no pornography, and the majority of boylovers are not predators. If you took the time to read any of the magazine issues available on the website, you might see us a little differently. We have an attraction to minors yes, in our case boys. This does not mean that we have to act upon our desires or become rapists. Sadly, it seems that the world almost pushes us in that direction. The ‘ticking time bomb theory’ is an example of this; the world expects every single one of us to molest children sooner or later. I personally believe that is a load of crap.
I couldn’t agree more!!!! Shutting down this kind of site has just the opposite effect as people like Robin think. Countless times I have heard people comment on sites like BLN and LBL about how much those sites had helped them. There are many people out there with our attractions trying do deal with it on their own, which is a very hard road to travel. Sites like these are a great help because they can share their thoughts and concerns with people who understand what it is like. They are a place to seek advice or even ask for help without the fear ridicule, or reported to authorities. We are boylovers, not boypredators. There is a huge difference! My dream is that one day the title Boylover will have the same positive meaning as animal lover. Boylovers want to love, support, and protect boys just as much as animal lovers do for animals. Why does the definition of the word love change when it is for a human child instead of an animal?
Sadly the world does not understand us. I used to on bl.net. I miss the fact that when someone was having difficulty with this lifestyle that we as a group reached out to that person. I went on less and less frequently but figured go in and check the “Couch” in case anyone needed support.
The fact of the matter is members were younger and needed positive guidance on the lifestyle of being a bl and the positives of it which can be difficult to find when you are a younger person.
Figure it like this “John Q Or Joan Q Public”, the support of pages like those did have some nasty people , but the good people outweighed them and may have helped your son, nephew or brother who is a boy lover and is hiding it from you and wanted to take his life. Maybe we helped him find a reason to go on.

Robin, If you are looking for child predators you have come to the wrong place. Boylovers don’t harm children and are abhorred by true abuse of any boy. However, there is a whole industry in America that specializes in harming children for nothing more than being sexual, the child abuse industry.
Under the guise of protecting children, this industry has made young love a crime. Children as young as 8 have been arrested for playing doctor with peers and tens of thousands of teenagers in love have been prosecuted and labeled as predators for expressing their mutual love for each other.

How dare these predators molest a child’s psyche with sexual guilt for it is sexual guilt that causes adult sexual conflicts and harm. How dare people punish children for being sexual and tell them that sex is not about love and affection but about victimization and harm. The gender feminists and other sex phobic misfits are the new masters in the game of sexual power politics and pity any child, teenager or adult who doesn’t conform to their sex negative moral constructions.

MBM issues do in fact seem to contain illegal material, at least in the UK, where some of the images are identified as “level 1″. An past member of boylover.net, I am currently being prosecuted as a sex offender thanks to an issue of MBM found in unallocated space (i.e. the pdf had been deleted, presumably some time around 2007. In case you are wondering, yes, this is the extent of the prosecution). If you are in the UK I strongly urge you not to download these issues, or even visit this site without images switched *off*.
I hope somebody can put a permanent warning on this site because I do not want anybody else to suffer what I have had to go through.

In my own opinion, placing the magazine in a place where people would have to buy it seems to be a step back, to me. I think keeping the magazine free would be sending a better message, and make it more available for everyone to read. However, having the option to buy a physical copy of the magazine would definitely get my interest… or is that what you mean?
My suggestion was so that it would be available for people to download and store if they happen to use Kindle. It is not possible to put it up there without charging a fee as Amazon will not permit free downloads – since they take a cut -.
Personally I would be pleased to subscribe to MBM if it was possible to obtain a copy in the mail. Still with shipping and perhaps customs fees it is difficult to determine if this would be feasible. In the old days NAMBLA always mailed out copies of the BULLETIN – magnificently done -. This has been discontinued due to budget reasons. I personally never had a problem with those from Canada Customs. I suppose you’d have to have enough subscribers for it to be worth it. As well as having a service to charge to a credit card for ease. -NEVER use PAYPAL please-.

Personally, I tend to feel the same way as TheTurtleBoy….at least for now. One of the great things about the magazine is that it has always been free. Even when it was hosted by Boylover.net, you didn’t have to pay or register in order to view it.
There are a lot of things to consider when it comes to sales….at this time we’re not ready to go in that direction. It’s worth talking about as a possibility for the future though!
xaen, you make a compelling argument. However, all sexualities, homosexual, heterosexual, etc. can take advantage of their partners thus creating a non-beneficial relationship for both. Yet, it is rarely cited that all the mainstream sexualities have the ability to commit abuse, such as a rape or domestic violence. Why is the worst of all possible outcomes the first thing that comes into our minds? Certainly not all intergenerational relationships contribute to misdoings, rapes, or sexual abuse. You are taking an incomplete sample of these relationships to illogically declare something as wrong or categorically unacceptable, while this can be said of all relationships with all sexualities. Can it not?
Using your logic we can conclude that all heterosexuals and homosexuals also seek to harm their partners, because certain members of their populations commit acts of violence and abuse on their partners. Thus all of these sexualities must be prohibited from having sexual relations or being allowed to flourish. This is your logic, which I find to be unequivocally flawed. Have you ever spoken to someone from both sides of these relationships to gain an accurate perception of the emotions felt on each side? To gain an accurate sample, for scientific purposes, then you’ll need to speak to many people about their experiences. It seems that there is no definitive answer that I can offer you as to the benefit, but I am confident that you will find something out there to shift your attention away from the current paradigm of hysteria concerning the issue. I will submit not all the relationships are beneficial, nor do they always remain rosy and without their misgivings, but this could be said of nearly any relationship. In the case of pedophiles the responsibility for cultivating a healthy and mutually beneficial relationship is probably quite greater.
Harm and benefit are a consequence of all things, but if you choose to look at only one side, then you see only half of the issue. I submit again that part of your argument is undoubtedly cogent and sincere, but it interprets data selectively without considering other possibilities. It would be nice if people looked at sexuality and desire from a compassionate viewpoint, allowing people to fully express their sexuality, which would prevent people from abusing others behind closed doors to satiate oppressed desires. All because people demonize the human body and all sexual contact in general. If we propagated an open attitude, then we would have an open society that is not afraid of intergenerational love and would embrace consensual sex. A society in which no matter a person’s sexuality he would not have the opportunity to abuse a child or an adult. This issue is multi-faceted and not simply about children or your opinion of what is appropriate for them, but the nature of culture and biology.
Pedophiles are not without hearts. They are simply oppressed. Having a sexuality that makes you attracted to children does not make you any more likely to abuse a person, and I can guarantee you that most pedophiles abhor hurting children physically and emotionally. This does not mean that some pedophiles do not commit acts against children, but this is often due to a societal intolerance to allow pedophiles to express their sexuality even to the smallest degree. This is not to say that pedophiles are justified if they hurt someone, but at least you should realize that circumstance will create certain sets of behaviors. How would you feel if you were never allowed to satiate your sexual desire? If you are a woman, perhaps you could survive, but for a man it would be almost unbearable. Think about that. If you shove everything under the rug, then eventually someone will pull up the rug and it will all look very ugly underneath. This is what pedophiles are condemned to suffer, and then children bear the brunt of it, often violently, and in VERY unacceptable ways. It’s unfortunate that for society’s angers children and adults are made to suffer such misfortune.

Sorry, but this is FALSE. If you want people to believe what boylovers say, then at least avoid hiding the truth.
Of all the male pedophiles jailed for child abuse, only a small percentage of them are situational or violent offenders. Most of them are what you would call “boylovers” (and yes, there are several members of boylover boards among them)
Boylovers find children sexually attractive, and the truth is many of them actually have access to children (nephews, sons, friends, neighbors, school, scouts…) and many, though not all, of them act on their desires using a boy’s innate curiosity for sex, or groom them into “trying” any form of sexual contact using their friendship.
Of these boylovers, only a small percentages gets caught usually because something “went wrong” in the process and the child calls his parents, or because the boylover downloaded or traded CP, etc.
These are FACTS, not hypothesis. Most of what I know comes from what I’ve read on boylover forums and blogs, and from boylovers who have been arrested.

Sex is nothing more than a recreational activity without any morality apart from that which we choose to personally impart it. Sexual pleasure is enjoyed by Human Beings of all sex, sexuality, race and age. It is no different than going to the toilet. There is no reason for it to be subjected to legislation.

There are thousands of boylovers in jail not because they actually harmed a boy in a sexual encounter or an on-going relationship but because sexual contact with a boy under 16 is illegal in most states. Even the most beneficial positive sexual relationship between a man and a boy, based on mutual respect and love, is a crime in most of Western culture.
Many of these affairs go on for weeks, months or years before being discovered by a third party for the boys don’t have a problem with such affairs. Could it be that the boy is apparently deriving some benefit from the relationship? Unfortunately, the boy is never asked his opinion about such activities with an older male. He is told that he is a victim even when he says that he was not a victim and that is that.
Behaviors should be criminal only when they do real harm to others, such as forcing people against their will to engage in sexual acts. Unfortunately, we have a lot of laws in America that criminalize harmless behaviors because certain groups with political power find certain behaviors morally offensive. This makes for very bad laws which tread on the basic principle of self-determination for all people, including young people.
The history of America, like most countries, has been one of criminalizing behaviors of those with no political voice. We all know how Native Americans, Blacks, gays, women and children were treated for decades as worthless human beings by the White Anglo Saxon Protestant establishment in America. For the most part, these groups did as they were told to do or end up in prison. Fortunately, all these groups now have a voice in America except for children and teenagers who still have very little voice in anything, especially the right to love and be loved as they wish, not as the moral establishment or the self-serving child abuse industry wishes.

Publicamos una revista en algunos idiomas para personas que se atraen a los niños. No proponemos que les hagan nada mal a los niños, y a pesar de todo en mi propia opinión es mejor si no hagan malas cosas en contra de la ley. Además es tu opinión que estamos enfermos, pero esta opinión no está bien educada, porque no tiene nada que ver con la realidad de la biología y la verdad de nuestra sexualidad humana. ¿Cómo puedo decir eso? I had to comment on the UK and its Draconian laws that label a boys “suggestive glance” in a picture or Avatar as Level 1 porno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!! Every family album in the world would have to be confiscated. And heaven forbid some of them have pictures of babies being bathed or on the proverbial bearskin rug. Life in prison for sure!
Come on, who in the world actually makes up these laws and why do people keep re electing them into offices of power?? Time to fight the Conservativce movement worldwide. It’s not that they don’t DO the things they are against, it’s just that they think it’s fine and dandy as long as they don’t get caught at it.
